Hire someone for a logo, or build a full identity system?

A single logo cannot hold a brand together as it grows. Everyone draws their own variation, printers guess the colours, one piece looks one way and the packaging another. An identity system gives your team a set of rules, so every piece and every touchpoint speaks the same language without depending on one designer. Sinh Vũ reviews your competitors before drawing anything, then presents two to three distinct options so you choose with a reason.

Strong brands come from a system used consistently, not from one beautiful logo.
One continuous flow

From direction to ready to use

Identity work moves from the brief, through an approved creative direction, to a file set printers and developers can use straight away. Each stage has a checkpoint you approve before the next one starts.

Part 1

Research and direction

Agree the brief with the decision maker, review competitors and the industry, and approve a creative direction before drawing.

Direction approvedBefore the first line is drawn

Part 2

Design and system build

Two to three distinct options are presented, you choose one, then colour, type and clear space are refined and the agreed applications laid out.

Timing

How long until you have it

19 working daysYour time, across 5 approvals

Add the two figures together for the real time from kickoff to handover. Your part follows the approval window of each step, so approving early shortens the schedule.

Before we start

What you need to prepare

  • Information about the business, products, and the customer base being served.
  • Existing identity assets, including any old versions that are no longer in use.
  • The person authorized to finalize the direction, who must be present at the proposal presentation.
  • A few brands you like and dislike, along with reasons, to shorten the guessing game.

Having these ready keeps the project on schedule. If something is missing, Sinh Vũ can still start, and the handover date moves back accordingly.

Frequently asked questions

Before you send a request for an identity

Sinh Vũ never presents one option and calls it final. The process has a step to approve the design direction before going into detail, so you never discover at the end that it was not what you wanted. The number of feedback rounds is written into the contract for each package, with nothing left vague during the work.

An identity for a single-branch coffee shop and one for a chain of ten stores are completely different in the number of items involved, so a fixed quote before knowing the real scope is only a guess. Sinh Vũ first discusses your scale and how the identity will be used, then gives a quote that matches the actual work. Our pricing principles are public on the Pricing page.

It depends on the number of items and how quickly you respond at each approval step, because this is a two-way process, not something Sinh Vũ does alone and hands over. The timeline is agreed at the start with the quote, so you can plan your launch or communications ahead.

Yes. All source files are handed over in open formats, so your team or any other provider later can open and edit them, without being locked in to Sinh Vũ. This is a fixed principle in every contract, not an extra term to negotiate.

Before sketching, Sinh Vũ always looks at the market you compete in, so the logo does not echo a competitor or feel off-tone for the industry. That is why the first conversation asks quite closely about your customers and competitors, and not just for the sake of asking.

The founder sets the creative direction and controls quality at the key approval points, while the execution is done by Sinh Vũ's specialist team. This is how a studio runs steadily across several projects at once and still keeps its standard, instead of depending on one person to do everything.

The handover includes a quick usage guide for common cases such as placing the logo on a coloured background and the minimum clear space around it. If you need a fuller set of standards for a team across several departments to follow, that is the scope of the separate Brand guidelines manual service.

A brand identity system is the work of creating the logo and identity items for the first time. A brand guidelines manual is the document that sets out how to use those items correctly and consistently afterwards, usually needed once the business has grown or many people use the logo.
