Brand design for dermatology and aesthetic clinics

Clients want to look better, but they entrust their skin only to a place they see as genuinely medical.

Aesthetic and dermatology clinics stand between two worries: that the place looks too much like a spa, or too much like a hospital. Sinh Vũ helps the brand convey medical standards in a gentle voice, within the license's scope.

Quick answer01

What does an aesthetic or dermatology clinic brand need?

Three things: a messaging system that stays within the license's scope, doctor profiles that show who performs the work, and a consultation room where clients feel advised rather than sold to. Those three decide whether a client sees this as a medical place or merely a place for beauty.

  1. A messaging system within scope

Each service states exactly what the facility is permitted to do, promises no results, and is easy to hand to a lawyer for review.

  2. Team profiles

Which doctor, what expertise, which techniques they perform, all in one layout.

  3. A consultation room with the right tone

Clean and discreet enough to be a clinic, warm enough for clients to ask what they are shy about.

Business types02

Three kinds of facility, three problems

All care for skin and body, but clients arrive with different worries, so the brand has to reassure them differently.

Dermatology clinics

Their customersPeople with skin problems such as acne, melasma or dermatitis, who have often tried many things and are worried.

Brand challengeShow clients this is a place of examination and treatment by doctors, in a close tone that doesn't promise a cure.

Non-surgical aesthetic clinics

Their customersClients who want to improve their appearance through minor procedures, weigh it carefully and often compare many places.

Brand challengeStand clearly apart from beauty salons, through the team and a license scope stated plainly.

Rehabilitation centers

Their customersPeople after an injury or surgery, or their families, who need support over many weeks.

Brand challengeHelp patients and families picture the road ahead, and see a place that is patient about walking it with them.

Pain points03

Four pain points specific to aesthetic and dermatology clinics

These are the places where a clinic loses clients or takes on risk that good work alone can't fix.

Customer journey04

At which stage do aesthetic clinics lose the most clients?

At the visit stage, in the consultation room. The client has chosen a place, but if they feel sold to instead of advised, they step back to think it over and don't return.

Where customers are most often lostThe visit
Do this now
  1. Prepare a sheet explaining each procedure: what is done, who does it, how long it takes, what to watch for.
  2. Keep the service display boards out of the consultation room, so the consultation room is a place for conversation.
  3. Give clients a one-page summary of the consultation to take home, with the doctor's name and how to get back in touch.
Touchpoints05

Five touchpoints to do first

Touchpoints are the places where clients see, touch or hear about a facility. You don't need to do everything at once. These five decide whether clients see medicine or see advertising.

  1. Compliant messaging system

Every post and every piece of advice starts here, so an error here is an error everywhere.

  2. Consultation room

Where clients decide to trust or step back, and what they remember longest about feeling respected.

  3. Website

Clients check the doctor and the scope of practice here before booking.

  4. Team profiles

Show who performs the work, so the brand can stand without leaning on one person.

  5. Procedure explanation sheet

Turns advice into something clients take home, reread and show their family.

Roadmap06

Where Sinh Vũ suggests starting

Listed in the order to do them. A new facility can stop at step three; an established one goes all the way to tidy up how it speaks.

  1. Brand strategy and positioning consulting

Settle where the facility stands between a medical clinic and a place for beauty care.

  2. Building brand voice

A messaging system service by service, within the license's scope.

  3. Logo and Brand Identity Design

Name, mark, color and type that are both medically standard and gentle.

  4. Brand website design

A page introducing the team, services, license information and booking.

  5. POSM and event booth design

Consultation room, sign and on-site explanation sheets.

FAQ09

Frequently asked questions

A dermatology clinic is a medical examination and treatment facility run by doctors, so the brand needs to state the team and the scope of practice. A skincare beauty salon has a different scope. The two types need to be stated clearly, not left for clients to guess.

Under Article 9 of Decree 342/2025/ND-CP, advertising for medical examination and treatment services must state the name, address, operating license number, operating hours and approved scope of practice. Content should stay within that scope and promise no results. Have the clinic's lawyer review the final version.

Sinh Vũ advises caution, because the photos are easily read as a promise of results. If used, get the consent of the person in the photo, state clearly that this is an individual case, and let the clinic's lawyer see it first. Sinh Vũ does not take the place of legal advice.

Medical standard first, gentleness second: clean lines, clean color, and avoiding shapes that look too much like a spa or too much like a hospital. Sinh Vũ tests the logo on doctors' name plates, consultation sheets and the sign before settling.

Discreet enough for clients to say what is hard to say, with materials explaining procedures so clients can read for themselves, and no promotion boards in the room. The adviser should wear a name tag showing their expertise.
