Identity design for event companies

Clients hand their most important day to the place that first makes them feel safe.

An event happens only once, so clients choose an organizer by how safe it makes them feel. Sinh Vũ helps your profile, your imagery and your team convey that care from the very first meeting.

A sample set of materials for an event organizer: project pages, a recap video, team uniforms and a concept presentation
Quick answer01

What does an event company brand need?

Three things come first: a project profile that tells the events you have run by the problem each one solved, a set of recap videos and photos in one style, and a look for your team on site. Those three show clients that you work with care before they hand over a day that can't be redone.

  1. Project profile

Each event states its scale, its problem, how it was solved and who ran it, not just stage photos.

  2. Recap videos and photos

One style throughout, so a client who watches several events still sees one company.

  3. The team's look on site

Uniforms, badges and signs, so clients and guests recognize who is in charge.

Business types02

Three kinds of event organizer, three problems

All of them organize events, but who chooses and why they choose differ for each kind.

Event companies

Their customersBusinesses that need press conferences, conferences, anniversaries and year-end parties. The person choosing is usually in marketing or administration.

Brand challengeGive the decision maker enough material to present confidently to their boss, and avoid being chosen on the lowest quote.

Wedding planners

Their customersCouples and families, choosing by taste, recommendations and photos of weddings already done.

Brand challengeA clear taste in which couples can see themselves, and wedding photos organized by style.

Festivals and fairs

Their customersTicket-buying audiences, sponsors and licensing authorities.

Brand challengeOne image for the whole festival, from tickets and signs to the sponsorship pitch, so it is remembered the next time it is mentioned.

Pain points03

Four pain points specific to event organizers

These are the places where event organizers lose clients, and where strong execution alone can't save them.

01

A profile of nothing but stage photos

The company profile is a photo album of events, with nothing on scale, the problem, or the difficulties overcome.

Write each event in one template: what the client handed over, what the problem was, how the team handled it. Photos serve as illustration.

Start from this problem
04

A recap video shot and then left on the shelf

It is shot and edited for the client and never reused, even though it is the most persuasive material for the next client.

Cut a shorter version for the website and social media, in the same style, with the same type and sound ident.

Customer journey04

At which stage do event organizers lose the most clients?

At the Meet stage. The client already has a few organizers on the list and receives each concept. If every company's concept looks much the same, the client goes back to comparing quotes.

Where customers are most often lostMeet
Do this now
  1. Open the concept with one image and one sentence, and only then move to the floor plan and the run of show.
  2. Attach two or three events you have run that match the client's problem.
  3. Say who is in charge of each part during the meeting, so the client sees the team and not only slides.
Touchpoints05

Five touchpoints to do first

Touchpoints are the places where clients and guests see the organizer. You don't need to do everything at once. These five decide most of whether a client feels safe handing over an event.

  1. Project profile

It is the document the client passes to the decision maker.

  2. Concept presentation

It is the first time the client sees how the company thinks.

  3. Recap video

It persuades more than any retelling, because the client sees a real event.

  4. Uniforms and team badges

Guests recognize who is in charge, and the team looks polished.

  5. Website and social media pages

Couples and corporate clients alike look there before they call.

Roadmap06

Where Sinh Vũ suggests you start

Listed in the order to do them. A small organizer can stop at step two or three; a larger one goes all the way.

  1. Logo and Brand Identity Design

Name, mark, color and type: the base for the profile, the uniforms and every event.

  2. Corporate capability profile design

The project profile and the concept presentation template.

  3. Brand video and animation production

The recap video and a short version reusable for the website.

  4. POSM and event booth design

Uniforms, badges, signage and on-site items.

  5. Brand guidelines handbook

When several teams run events at once: guidelines so every event comes out with one look.

Projects07

The projects closest to event organizers

Sinh Vũ has not published a project for an event company. The two below are the closest: an identity for a concert, from the ticket to the wayfinding, and an identity for an evening experience on the river.

Lê Minh Sơn and Phong Huyền

The same palette, but the street signs are for people in a hurry, the poster is for people who stop and look, and the ticket with its stub is something to keep as a memento. On stage, every pattern is dropped to make room for the music.

FAQ09

Frequently asked questions

It should include an introduction to the company, the types of events you take on, the scale you have handled, three to five signature events told as problem and solution, the core team and contact details. Photos are there to illustrate, not to replace the telling.

Choose one taste and keep it consistent: the color palette, the way you shoot, the way you name packages. Couples look for a planner that suits their taste, so one clear taste is chosen more often than an album of every style.

A festival mark, a color set, tickets, signage, posters, organizer uniforms and a sponsorship pitch. The organizers should settle the mark and the colors first, and produce the other materials gradually, season by season.

Not right away. At the start, a mark, color, type and a profile template are enough. Guidelines become necessary when several teams run events at once or you work for many clients.

Place a small, consistent mark of the company where both the client and the guests see it, such as the back-of-house area, the signage and the recap video. Agree this with the client first, so it doesn't intrude on the event's own brand.
