Design for Tết gift boxes and corporate gift sets

A gift speaks for the giver, from the moment the recipient touches the box.

Tết gift boxes and corporate gifts both pile into the few weeks before the holiday, so a ready box system saves a rush every year. Sinh Vũ builds the box, tray, card and catalog into one set with shared rules.

Quick answer01

What do Tết gift boxes and corporate gifts need?

Three things: a box system with shared rules so each season only the occasion-specific parts change, a place for the giver's brand, and a catalog that helps the person choosing decide quickly. Together they keep the gift beautiful without starting from zero every year.

  1. A box system with shared rules

Outer box, tray, bag and card share one palette and pattern, so placed side by side they are plainly one house.

  2. A place for the giver's brand

A card, label or ribbon that changes for each company without breaking the taste of the box.

  3. A catalog that helps the person choosing

Consistent photos, with each set stating clearly what it contains, so whoever handles gifts can choose quickly and report back easily.

Business types02

Three kinds of gift, three problems

All of them are gift boxes, but the buyer, the recipient and the timing differ.

Tết holiday gift boxes

Their customersFamilies and individuals buying gifts for relatives and partners in the few weeks before Tết.

Brand challengeDignified without falling into the same red and gold as every other box, and ready exactly when orders pile up.

Corporate gifts

Their customersAdministration or marketing staff choosing gifts to send to partners, customers and employees.

Brand challengeThe gift has to represent the company giving it, and the person choosing must trust the box to hold the same quality at every quantity.

Custom boxes

Their customersCompanies or individuals who want their own set for an occasion, a product or a group of recipients.

Brand challengeQuickly build a set that carries the buyer's mark while still standing on the standard template of the gift maker.

Pain points03

Four pain points specific to gifts

These are the places where a gift loses points even when what is inside is good.

04

A good sample, but the real box is off

Orders pile up at year end, the print color drifts, the tray doesn't fit the item, and there is no time to fix it.

Settle the die line and make a real sample a few months before the season, and test the tray with the real item.

Customer journey04

At which stage do gifts lose the most points?

At the Unbox stage. Recipients decide in the first few seconds of opening the box whether the gift is memorable, so a beautiful box with no card or a loose tray loses points.

Where customers are most often lostUnbox
Do this now
  1. Place one small detail right under the lid, such as a card or a wrapping strip of paper.
  2. Open the box by hand, as a real recipient would, before ordering a large quantity.
  3. Write each card for its actual recipient, rather than one generic greeting for the whole batch.
Touchpoints05

Five touchpoints to do first

Touchpoints are the places where recipients and the people choosing see, touch or read about the gift. These five decide the feeling of being valued.

  1. Outer box and molded tray

The first thing the recipient touches.

  2. Card and handwritten note

Where the gift speaks in the giver's words.

  3. Handbag and seal strip

The recipient carries it around the office, so many people see it.

  4. Corporate gift catalog

Where the person choosing decides which set.

  5. Product photos

Let the person choosing see what the set looks like before ordering.

Roadmap06

Where Sinh Vũ suggests you start

Listed in the order to do them. A gift maker that already has a solid identity skips step one.

  1. Logo and Brand Identity Design

Name, mark and color: the base for the whole box system.

  2. Product packaging design

Outer box, tray, bag and card as one system with shared rules.

  3. Product and brand photography

Gift set photos for the catalog and the order page.

  4. Sales and marketing collateral design

A catalog and a document set for corporate gift buyers.

FAQ09

Frequently asked questions

Start a few months before the Tết season, because sampling, tray testing and production follow the design. The timeline for each deliverable is on the matching service page.

Give the giver a separate place such as a card, label or ribbon rather than printing it large on the box. The box keeps the gift maker's taste, and what changes for each company sits in a small place.

Choose one dominant color and one distinctive detail instead of piling on patterns. Red and gold are still usable when there is a reason and some restraint.

A ready-made box is quick but looks like everyone else's. A custom box needs a die line and time for samples, and in return carries the buyer's own mark.

It depends on what is inside and the feeling you want: rigid board wrapped in paper for dignity, art paper for a rustic look. Sinh Vũ makes a real sample so you can hold it before settling.
