If a printed label lacks a mandatory item, it has to be stickered over or reprinted. For high-volume packaging, that is the largest cost of the whole project.

Vietnam's labeling law changed in 2026
Decree 37/2026 replaced the old rules from 23 January 2026 and allows much content on electronic labels. Labels printed before that date may be used for a limited time.
