Most business owners finalize the printing style before knowing what fabric will be used, which is why uniforms deteriorate faster than necessary.
Choose uniform fabric based on the wearing environment and the logo decoration technique first, then finalize colors and styles later. Cotton is suitable for vibrant silk screen printing in hot environments; polyester is durable, wrinkle-resistant, and better for embroidery than silk printing; blended fabrics balance both sides. Determine the fabric first before deciding how to apply the logo, not the other way around.
When Sinh Vũ asks clients about uniforms, the first question is not "What color do you want?" but rather "Under what conditions will employees wear them, and how will the logo be applied?" These two questions determine the choice of fabric. Choosing the wrong order will lead to additional costs for redoing or accepting uniforms that degrade faster than expected.
There is no need to remember a lot; just grasp the three main groups and the appropriate conditions for each type.
Silk screen printing and embroidery are the two most popular techniques for brand uniforms, and each technique works well on different types of fabric. Confirming the decoration technique before knowing the fabric is the most common mistake Sinh Vũ encounters during consultations.
Choose the fabric first, then select the decoration technique that suits that fabric. Do not do the opposite.
Principles of practice, Integrity Branding
In addition to the main material, there are several technical factors that significantly affect the final quality but are often overlooked during the ordering phase.
Sinh Vũ is the creative director coordinating with partner sewing and printing workshops. Specific tasks include: directing materials according to wear environments and brand identity, providing requirements for fabric quantity and decoration techniques to the workshop, checking actual samples on real fabric before producing quantities, and coordinating adjustments if the samples do not meet criteria. The sewing and printing prices are reported directly by the workshop, and Sinh Vũ does not commit to production prices as that is outside the scope of design.
You don’t need to understand all the technical specifications of the fabric to make the right decision. Just answer: where will the employees wear it, what will they do, how many times will it be washed per week, and what feeling should the logo convey. From there, Sinh Vũ and the partner workshop will determine the appropriate type of fabric and decoration technique.

Polyester is dyed with disperse dyes within the fibers; when heat-pressed during silk screening, these dyes can bleed and mix with the ink layer, causing color bleeding. Cotton does not have this dyeing mechanism, so the ink adheres cleanly and colors are more vibrant. If polyester must be used and you still want to print, you need to discuss specialized inks with the workshop and conduct a test sample first.
Safety in terms of balance, not optimized for every situation. Blended fabrics are more durable than pure cotton, less prone to shrinking and wrinkling, suitable for multiple washes and long-term use. However, if you need the brightest print colors, pure cotton is still better; if you need uniforms for heavy activity, high-quality polyester may be more suitable. There is no fabric that is right for all; it must be considered based on actual wearing conditions.
