You need a multi-layer film when a single type of plastic cannot fulfill all roles at once: beautiful printing, moisture barrier, gas barrier, sealing, and puncture resistance. Conversely, dry, stable, fast-selling products can be adequately and significantly more cost-effectively packaged with a single-layer film.
