On-site screens

Screens readable from the waiting seat

Hospitals, clinics, banks, public service centres and office towers all have screens visitors look at while they wait: ticket machines, queue-calling screens, information points, lobby screens. Sinh Vũ designs the interface for those screens and hands over a specification so the software provider builds them correctly, without guessing.

How Sinh Vũ works

Five steps, clear at every turn

Pick a step to see what Sinh Vũ does, what you decide and what you receive.

Step 01 · Discovery and alignment

Walk through the visitor journey

Sinh Vũ does
Walk through the journey from taking a queue number to leaving, together with the facility operator. Note which screen a visitor looks at in each step and what question that screen must answer. Then settle the screen sizes and where they are placed..
You decide
Approve the journey map and screen inventory.Within 3 working days.
You receive
A journey map and a list of every screen, each one noting where it is placed, what it says and who looks at it.

Step 02 · Design

The first sample screen

Sinh Vũ does
Start with the queue-calling screen because the most people look at it. We test reading it at the right screen size from the farthest point in the waiting area..
You decide
Approve the sample screen at its real location.Within 3 working days.
You receive
A queue-calling screen as the sample, tested for readability from where visitors sit and wait.

Step 03 · Design

Build all the screens

Sinh Vũ does
Build the remaining screens following the journey map, each with every state: waiting, calling, missed call, device error, outside working hours.
You decide
Approve the full set of screens.Within 5 working days.
You receive
A complete set of screens, each covering the common situations, not just the moment when everything runs smoothly.

Step 04 · System and usage rules

Specifications for the software vendor

Sinh Vũ does
Write the specification: screen size, resolution, minimum type size, the states and when they switch, and the data each screen needs to pull from the software.
You decide
The software vendor confirms they understand the specification.Within 3 working days.
You receive
A specification set that the software vendor has confirmed they can follow.

Step 05 · Rollout

Check on real screens

Sinh Vũ does
Review the version the software vendor built on the real screens on site, and note where it differs from the design so they can fix it.
You decide
Acceptance on the real screens.Within 3 working days.
You receive
A review report from the real screens, with every difference noted and fixed.

The queue software already has an interface, so why design one?

A software's built-in interface is usually made to work, not to be read by visitors. People waiting are often anxious, far from the screen and in a hurry: small text means they cannot find their number, and a confusing error screen sends them to the counter to ask. Some queue screens even show visitors' full names, putting private information in the middle of the lobby. So Sinh Vũ walks the visitor's route with the site's operators, from taking a ticket to leaving. At each step Sinh Vũ notes which screen people look at and what question that screen must answer. Design starts only once that list exists.

An on-site screen must be readable from the waiting seat, not just look good on a laptop.
One continuous flow

Designs that get built right

This work needs the brand identity (logo, colours, typeface) in place first, and needs the software provider involved from the specification step. Sinh Vũ designs the interface, the software provider writes the code. Both work from the same specification.

Part 1

Walk the visitor route

Walk from taking a ticket to leaving with the site's operators, and list every screen: where it sits, how big it is, what it says, who looks at it.

Part 2

Sample screen and full set

Start with the queue-calling screen because most people look at it, and test it from the farthest seat. Then design the rest, each screen covering every situation: waiting, calling, missed turn, machine error, after hours.

Part 3

Specification and on-screen check

Write the specification for the software provider, then check what they build on the real screens on site and note every deviation for them to fix.

Timing

How long until you have it

5 to 8 weeksSinh Vũ's part
17 working daysYour time, across 5 approvals

Add the two figures together for the real time from kickoff to handover. Your part follows the approval window of each step, so approving early shortens the schedule.

Before we start

What you need to prepare

  • A list of screens, their sizes and planned positions.
  • A floor plan of the waiting area, the counter and the rooms.
  • The contact at the queue software or facility management software vendor, involved from the specification step.
  • The current reception and service process, including the payment steps.
  • A trial session with real staff or visitors before acceptance.

Having these ready keeps the project on schedule. If something is missing, Sinh Vũ can still start, and the handover date moves back accordingly.

Sign-off standard

Know in advance what passes

The four points below are the sign-off yardstick, agreed at the start, and measured on site rather than on a laptop.

Readable from the farthest seat

Text on the queue-calling screen is readable from the farthest agreed seat in the waiting area.

Tested in the waiting area

Older visitors take a ticket alone

In the test run, older visitors take a ticket at the machine without anyone guiding them.

Test run with real people

No private information shown

Screens in public areas never show a visitor's full name or private details such as health status, account numbers or case contents.

Every screen checked

Every situation, on brand

Each screen covers every agreed situation; colours, type and icons follow the brand identity; zone names match the signage.

Three tiers by scope

Quoted by the number of screen types and situations per screen, fixed as one package after walking the visitor route, with no surcharges along the way. Software development and buying screens or ticket machines are not part of the design fee.

Frequently asked questions

Before you send a request for screen design

No. Sinh Vũ designs the interface and writes the specification. Your software provider writes the code and connects the machines. Sinh Vũ works directly with them from the specification step, then checks what they build on the real screens on site and notes deviations for them to fix.

It depends on the software. Some allow a full interface change, some only allow colours and a logo. Sinh Vũ asks the software provider before starting. If only part can be changed, Sinh Vũ narrows the scope to that part and tells you first.

No. Sinh Vũ only designs how screens display information and states in the specification which kind of data each screen needs. Real data stays in the site's software, and connecting the systems is done by the software provider.

Yes. Screens in busy areas should show only the ticket number, or at most initials, never full names, health status or account numbers. This is part of the sign-off standard, and Sinh Vũ checks every screen before handover.

No. You buy them yourself or through the software or equipment provider, who also installs them. Sinh Vũ only needs to know the screen sizes and positions early, because changing a screen size after design means rebuilding the layout.

The sample screen needs the brand identity (logo, colours, typeface) first. If it is not ready, Sinh Vũ suggests doing the identity first or in parallel: walking the visitor route and listing the screens can start straight away.

Usually 4 to 9 weeks depending on the number of screen types, including your approval rounds and the check on real screens. In the full tier, the tuning round after two weeks of operation falls outside that range. Sinh Vũ sets exact dates around the software provider's build schedule and the site's opening day.

There is no single price, because each site needs a different number of screen types and situations. The design fee is based on that scope and excludes software development and hardware. Sinh Vũ walks the visitor route and fixes the screen list before quoting one fixed package. Our pricing principles are public on the Pricing page.
